Institutionalising Local Coordination Team in the Prevention and Control of Zoonoses and Emerging Infectious Diseases in Special Region of Yogyakarta

To enhance preparedness, prevention, detection, response, and evaluation efforts, the Regional Government of Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) has institutionalised the Regional Coordination Team (TIKORDA) at both Provincial and District levels. This institutionalisation serves as a key strategy to ensure program sustainability, particularly in coordinating the control of zoonotic diseases and Emerging Infectious Diseases (EIDs). Establishing regulations for TIKORDA has further strengthened commitment and support from Sub-districts and kapanewon in pilot areas.
