Indonesia’s geographical location, along with its unique geological, hydrological and demographic conditions, leave the archipelago prone to disasters. Indonesia suffers from a relatively high frequency of such incidents, which require systematic, integrated management and coordinated mitigation. This regulatory review combines desktop reviews of applicable regulatory content with primary data regarding the implementation of Indonesian legislation.
