Rabies Control in West Timor

Following the emergence of rabies cases in TTS District, NTT Province in 2023, various cross-sectoral efforts have been implemented to prevent the spread of rabies on West Timor Island. However, rabies continues to spread to other districts until it was confirmed in Oekuse, Timor Leste, which borders West Timor Island. This policy brief was prepared to identify challenges in rabies control efforts and recommendations for effective control strategies to eliminate rabies on West Timor Island.
