Accessibility and Acceptance of COVID-19 Vaccines for the Elderly Population in Yogyakarta Province

This policy brief provides an overview regarding the accessibility and acceptability of COVID-19 vaccination among elderly in Special Region of Yogyakarta, notably in the Gunungkidul and Kulon Progo district. The vaccination rate for the elderly in Yogyakarta is quite high but it can be further improved with cultural approaches, such as using local languages, and habits of local elderly in the media used for information about COVID-19, providing transportation facilities around vaccination centres, and better service accessibility features for the elderly at service centres.
