Cultural and Religious Approaches to Enhancing COVID-19 Vaccine Acceptance Among the Elderly in Central Java Province

This study found that elderly in Central Java have doubts about COVID-19 vaccination due to lack of access to information. The central and local governments need to take an adaptive and targeted approach to build public trust in the COVID-19 vaccination program. For example, by understanding the media that elderly groups are familiar with (Facebook, Whatsapp groups, television programs, or cultural events) and working with role models to communicate directly with the elderly and become intermediaries.
