Proper Methods for Field Officers to Handle Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD)

In handling livestock infected with Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD), animal health officers, Village Security Office (Babinsa) and community members need to follow several procedures to avoid the risk of transmission, for example, adhering to biosecurity procedures and using full Personel Protective Equipment (PPE) (hazmat, gloves, boots, shoe protectors and masks), as well as replacing and destroying the PPE at each farm site.
